Core(Attack); was a game jam game produced during the annual university game jam, with all the BA’s and MA course. This game was developed by myself, James Briggs, Alex Clarke, and Kieran Leonard.
The premise of the game is that you are attempting to create the perfect AI. THis is done by placing the correct combination of modules into the respective ‘cores’ (Personality, Inhibitor, and Intelligence). Three player are ‘Civilians’ whilst Two players are ‘Androids’. The androids are attempting to corrupt the AI by placing the incorrect modules into the cores, forming the wrong formula.
The game has strong inspirations from games such as Ultimate Werewolf, Settlers, and any social style game. We just wanted to have plenty of conversation between the players, with plenty of deception and communication.
